With reference to your complaint/intimation dated 09/07/2022. I am directed to say that the matter was considered by the Commission on 27/06/2023. The Commission has made the following directions: |
The Commission on 09.7.2022 has received a complaint from Shri Onkar Vishwakarma, a human rights activist from, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh referring to a news report run by Public App revealing that one worker of the Electricity company has died due to electrocution as he came in contact with electricity cable in Koderma district of Jharkhand. The complainant has requested the Commission to intervene into the matter. Pursuant to the direction of the Commission, report of Under Secretary to the Govt.of Jharkhand, Energy Department dated 26.5.2023 has been submitted stating that agency M/S Nidan Enterprises paid the widow of the deceased namely Anita Kumari monetary compensation of Rs. 3.00 lakhs along with arrear pension of Rs.21,985/- and at the same time Rs.4,40,682/- has been deposited in the bank account of the NoK by way of PF Insurance on 26.12.2022. In view of the above report since the NoK of the deceased has been duly compensated and the grievance of the victim has been meted out, further intervention of the Commission is not called for. The report is taken on record and the case is closed. |
